Since the launch of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a wide array of heroes, and a gripping narrative including divine entities, demons, and malevolent powers expanding in strength within the urban setting.
Warning: Revealing details for the latest installment of Campaign 4 are included.
The Soldiers Table Revealed
Episode 3 finished on a huge suspense moment and revealed the premier party of adventurers who will branch out from the central cast to undertake their separate journey, distinct from the additional parties.
This warrior group consists of Teor Pridesire (played by Travis), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).
Why Split the Party?
Considering 13 cast members, it was evident from the outset that keeping everyone at the same party would be unworkable.
Hence, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, connecting the characters’ stories before dividing into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Planners, and Explorers.
Characteristics of the Soldiers Table
Per the DM, the combat-focused party is for participants who prefer a traditionally charged battle-oriented gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are rare.
Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might seem mismatched, but the developments of episode 3 make it clear why these five characters are perfectly fit for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
For one thing, the group knows exactly where to proceed after a brutal opening clash with the enemy group.
An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose death started the campaign’s events—exploited the foes for his personal gain, entering the secret base, striking the rogue, and stealing all the powerful objects to auction.
Casimir then settled his debts and escaped to a fortified location in the northern region, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd hot on his heels.
Character Drivers
Secondly, each character has a personal reason to depart the urban setting:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, wants retribution.
- The knowledgeable figure is familiar with the northern area and advises that it is a dangerous environment.
- Tyranny and The healer, having resisted his relatives’ demands to execute Teor and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
- But, their status as important members in House Halovar could assist the party enter locations they usually can’t.
- Additionally, Teor pledged a unbreakable promise to The savior for his salvation and will now accompany him anywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
In addition, all of them are sought by the powers that rule Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making remaining behind no longer safe:
- The rogue and Kattigan are known criminals.
- Tyranny and Wicander turned against the powerful family and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
- The target is marked for death by the clan.
This means them no alternative but to travel to Timmony in search of the traitor.
What’s Next?
Based on episode three’s post-show segment, we find out that the Soldiers table will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the players to assemble the Questers and Schemers tables.
